too cold for kitties

All the kitties now have special nooks to sleep in cause it is too cold outside! We bought a bunch of flannel and fleece and decked out their little houses! Unfortuantely we lost Olivier last week. He was defiantely a lot older than all the little ones - he's been here much longer than we have... and he might have been sick too, as his behavior had recently changed as he was hanging around and sleeping a lot more... but either way - we were sorry to see him go. stray or not - you're welcome in our yard, kitties!

Elling can always be foudn just a whistle away! he's such a good yard guard! Fiest tried to help mom in the garden, but Elling is truly the Garden Guardian!

With Summer, comes new cats!! our yard is full of them! at least three new ones - two little sptripped grey kitties and a black one who looks like a cigar went off in her face - we call her Kaboom or lil kittie 'boom-boom'. Though Tilden got into something yucky and died a couple of weeks ago, Merry was spotted in the yard yesterday. Eling (the little orange one) is super happy to be the yard guardian and sleeps in the kittie tower outside the back door every night (at least whenever Boom Boom isn't in it! He and Lexi are getting along quite well.

Epsecially now that Lexi is getting a little more adventurous.

Ironically, Feist doesn't want anything to do with all the kitties and runs back inside whenever they're around! what a weirdo!

the kitties went off to college

okay - they went outside and now they're living in the basement... but if I think of it like they went of to college then it makes it a little easier. They're so much ahppier out there cause they didn't like us much anyway. They're getting a little taste of freedom and SPACE! yahoo!

and the big boys couldn't be happier!! they get all their favorite places back all to themselves!
